Request a Ballot
The printable form to request a ballot be mailed to your home is available here: https://sdsos.gov/elections-voting/assets/AbsenteeApplication_202012.PDF
If you use this option, you can return the ballot in person to your County Auditor’s Office or return it by mail. If you choose to mail it in, please allow enough time for it to be in the Auditor’s hands by the Primary, June 2, 2026. Late ballots do not count!
To vote for me in the Primary, you must be registered at your current address in District 16 (and as a a Republican) – This is particularly important if you’ve moved recently. If you need to update your registration, you must have that done by Monday, May 18 to vote in the June 2 primary. The printable form to update your registration is available here: https://sdsos.gov/elections-voting/assets/VoterRegistrationFormFillable.pdf (You can also do this in person at the County Auditor’s Office)
Sample Ballot
Sample ballots are available. This allows you to see ahead of time what other elections are on the primary ballot. Ballots vary depending on where you live – you can view your particular sample ballot here: https://vip.sdsos.gov/VIPLogin.aspx (If you prefer to vote in person on election day, this page also tells you where your polling place will be.)
